Travis Kling does not have a theology degree, and he is not a theologian. His entire career has been in investing.

Travis is the Founder and Chief Investment Officer of Ikigai Asset Management, a crypto asset hedge fund. Prior to launching Ikigai in 2018, Travis spent a decade in traditional finance. From 2015-2017, Travis was a Portfolio Manager at Point 72 in New York, managing a long/short portfolio of energy and materials equities. From 2011-2015, Travis was an Energy Analyst at Magnetar Capital in Chicago, investing in long/short energy equities and non-control private equity and debt in the energy industry. From 2008-2010, Travis was an Investment Banking Analyst at Simmons & Co in Houston. Travis graduated with honors from Texas A&M University in 2008 with a BBA in Accounting and MS in Finance. Travis played football at Blinn College.

Travis was raised Southern Baptist, was baptized in 4th grade, and is a follower of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. He lives in Austin with his wife, Bella, and their daughter Clementine.
