Episode #22 reviews a discussion from Jonathan Pageau, one of the leading voices in Orthodox Christianity. Pageau is brilliant, full stop. While his views are certainly in-line with Orthodox Christianity, he intertwines unique insights on symbolism that I find compelling.

I will be the first to say, Pageau’s work is not particularly introductory and it’s not the kind of thing that is fully graspable at first listen. I have listened to ~20 hours of Pageau at this point and it is only just now starting to really sink in for me. But I will also say that much of what I have heard from Pageau resonated with me before I could even understand it. From the first discussions I ever heard from him, I latched onto his perspectives as being more “accurate” (and that word is doing a lot of heavy lifting there), but more accurate than a lot of the more straightforward surface-level concepts that try to explain the world and God and Christ and humanity. So that is why I am sharing it with you here today.

There was no script for this episode, so I don’t have anything to include here in the blog post, other than a link to the YouTube video. At some point I will start writing blogs that are separate and standalone from the podcasts, but for now I have a pretty full plate.
