Things Hidden Is Back!

Greetings from Austin! Welcome back to Things Hidden. It’s been nearly four months since you last heard from me, but never fear - Things Hidden has been humming along behind the scenes.

I switched producers and we were experimenting with some new content distribution ideas, so we released four episodes over the last couple months without sending emails. I’ve included them here for your convenience.

This episode explores the question of whether Jesus ever claimed to be God. The discussion features back and forth from Biblical scholars Bart Ehrman and Gavin Ortlund-

This episode is an in-depth exploration of the story of Jonah and the Whale. The context for this episode is that the Texas State Board of Education recently passed a measure mandating numerous Bible stories be taught in every public school classroom in the state. The first Bible story that will be taught is Jonah and the Whale, in kindergarten-

This episode presents a highly viral speech from Jonathan Pageau about the intersection of faith and AI. The speech addresses these two topics together in a way I promise you’ve never heard before-

And this episode addresses a claim that religion and faith are dying in the US. It’s the closest thing you’re going to find on Things Hidden to a “takedown” of someone else’s claims-

Additionally, after switching producers a second time (content creation is tricky!), we have new episodes with a new format coming down the pipe, starting tomorrow. So you’ll see another email from me tomorrow with a link to that new episode, and we’re going to try and release new episodes on a weekly cadence going forward, rather than biweekly.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions or comments you might have. I continue to have phone calls with folks who reached out after watching Things Hidden and wanted to have a discussion about faith. I welcome those discussions, regardless of your vantage point.

If you want to follow along on socials too, they’re all linked here - https://linktr.ee/thingshidden

Be well.
